Never… When my photo was published in the newspaper for the first time, I felt like “WOW” but more than that I felt proud to see my parents so very HAPPY.

 

Playing cricket was my passion since my childhood. Initially I played cricket for fun and enjoyment but later it became my integral part of life. As I said, I started playing for fun and enjoyment but later I was addicted to the game. I started playing seriously when I was called to play for 'Kalaiya cricket Club' by Mr. Niranjan Agrawal (Then Club’s secretary). Mr.Sushil Chaugai had a huge influence on me, he is the one person who is responsible for my growth as a cricketer. Later Mr. Roy Dias and Rumesh Ratnayake helped me become a better player. But it all wouldn’t have been possible without support of my parents and other family members. The only challenge I faced in my life was to complete my studies. And I still am facing that difficulty but I have no regrets about that, I’m happy that I chose to be a cricketer. 

 

I have always enjoyed playing cricket, whether it’s a local match or an international match. I cherish each and every moment on the field of cricket because I know “that’s the time I have the opportunity to showcase the talent I have.”That’s my moment so I give it my all to prove that “Yes I belong to this fraternity.”While playing for my country I have won many awards and trophies, Gorkha Dakshin Bahu 4^th, National Youth  talent Award, NSJF Player of the year award, Youth ambassador for peace2063,Man Of The Match Against UAE, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Kuwait, Namibia, Singapore, Bhutan. Best bowler Award in three National GAMES including recently concluded 5^th national Sports event. And many more awards and accolades to go with that.

 

Sports for me gives you an opportunity to learn about diverse group of people and culture. It provides you with an opportunity to interact with people from various background and improve your knowledge which in terms improve your personality.

 

First of all, thank you very much for all the love and support you have given to me and to the game of cricket in the country. Please keep on supporting us the way you always have. I take a great pride in representing my country through sports and without your support it wouldn’t have been possible. So just keep on loving us.
